Through a participatory approach, this program promotes the involvement of people directly connected to the use of the Maullín River and its wetlands, as well as those interested in the conservation of the Maullín River Wetlands Nature Sanctuary and its monitoring activities. Participatory monitoring brings together people from different local communities and organizations, as a strategy to strengthen the Sanctuary's governance and build greater awareness of the problems and solutions related to the management of the Maullín River and its wetlands.
