American Oystercatcher (pilpilén)

Since 2019, FCM has protected the breeding sites of the American oystercatcher (Haematopus palliatus) on Quinchao Island, Chiloé. The program combines scientific monitoring, direct nest protection, and community work to increase the survival of eggs, chicks, and fledglings.
