Since 2019, FCM has protected the breeding sites of the American oystercatcher (Haematopus palliatus) on Quinchao Island, Chiloé. The program combines scientific monitoring, direct nest protection, and community work to increase the survival of eggs, chicks, and fledglings.
Your contribution helps sustain monitoring each breeding season, habitat management in Quinchao Bay, and education and responsible pet ownership initiatives that reduce threats to nests.
